[edit]Why did he leave the WWE? Is it because UPN didnt want him there or was it mutual? it seems kinda contradictory here. 10-29-2005
The following questions and answers about Mark from the article need to be rephrased before being included:
- What is Marc's wifes name:
Marc is not married. - How long has Mark been Married for?

No. - What are Mark's parents names?
Anthony and Kathleen - Does Mark have any pets?
Yes,Marc has 1 dog named Einstein - Does Mark Smoke?
No,Mark does not smoke

Whoever posted these stupid questions and answers article about Mark "Muhammad Hassan" Copani I just wanted to say don't ever post anything without providing a link to prove that its right because these information are not true and there is no way his parents name are Michelle and Michael because they don't have these names in Italy or Jordan which is where Mark Copani's parents are from.
Content
[edit]To the anon editor who has added the "questions and answers about Mark" as well as the YTMND content:
It's great to see your enthusiasm about this article and your participation contributing to Wikipedia content. Welcome to the community of editors. I encourage you to review the Wikipedia:Style_and_How-to_Directory. This will help avoid conflicts with other editors as it maps out many of the common strategies used for editing and formating content.
To better fit Wikipedia's style, the Q&A list really should be consolidated into a paragraph. Additionally, only those items most relevant to a biography should be included, in my opinion. Temporary information like dates of appearances is not encyclopedic information. The information Mgm|(talk) posted above is a good candidate for consolidation into a paragraph.
With regard to the content in the trivia section:It is a YTMND fad for him to randomly interrupt famous TV/movie quotes based on how he is known for interrupting wrestlers usually abruptly. i.e. in one YTMND site they have Mel Gibson giving a famous line from braveheart, than being interrupted or Hassand'd by Muhammad Hassan's music
This seems potentially interesting. It's a bit confusing though. Does Hassan participate in YTMND directly (implied by the current form of the paragraph) or is this an "in joke" among YTMND community participants? The distinction is important and should be clear. If Hassan is a direct participant then this bit of trivia would seem much more germane to the entry than if it was just an "in joke" specific just to that community.
Let's talk more about this before making changes to the main article. :-)
What do you think? What is your goal with the information you wish to add? Is there a way we can reach consensus on what would be most appropriate?

Religion?
[edit]The article says he is a Buddhist and yet it also refers to him praising Allah during his performances. Can anybody confirm the Buddhist part? How does this reconcile? Tobycat 19:10, 30 May 2005 (UTC)
- Simple: He's a Buddhist, but he plays a Muslim on TV. --HBK 19:12, May 30, 2005 (UTC)
Its generally known that is a Buddhist
User:Buddhist143 December 14, 2005 (UTC)
Do not put American Muslim, unless you have proof. According to WWE he is full Italian, which would probably mean he's catholic... Please show proof he's Buddhist so I can edit it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zingo (talk • contribs) 19:11, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Birth Name
[edit]Muhammad Hassan's birth name is Mark(MARC) Copani and not Mark Magnus. He is listed as such in the Internet Movie Database and it is mentioned in the Times Online article found in the links section. I can't seem to be able to change it in the title, so if someone could.
- Done and done. Thanks much, too; I had no idea what his real name was, but I was fairly certain it wasn't Mark Magnus. --HBK 02:24, Jun 17, 2005 (UTC)
- really every site i have looked on it has stated his real name was Mark Magnus... did he have his name changed to that or what... If someone could explain this in the article that would be much appriciated--- Paulley 13:35, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Ethnic Origin
[edit]There's two directly contradictory statements about the ethnic background of Mr. Copani in the article, specifically:
- His mother is from the Middle-Eastern country of Jordan.
- Despite playing an Arabic man in the WWE, he's actually of pure Italian descent.(100% Sicilian)
Anybody have any sources on this one way or the other? --HBK 22:49, July 13, 2005 (UTC)
- It says above that his mother's name is Michelle, so I'm going to guess not from Jordan -- nor, I'd imagine, was he born there. But I don't know for sure, so I'm not going to change anything myself. --38.112.47.130 19:58, 19 July 2005 (UTC)
- He was definitely born in Jordan. I can't answer the rest. OsFan 18:54, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Where did they say "Undertaker beats Hassan"?
[edit]They didn't put Hassan's last WWE match against 'Taker, the one which Hassan got seriously injured. WHERE THE HELL IS IT?--Ed-kipedia 20:34, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
Return
[edit]Where on the internet is it rumored that Hassan is returning???
No one knows, but it would be really awesome if he came back supposely because he killed McMahon *kayfabe wise*--Dr. Pizza 23:44, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Move to Muhammad Hassan (wrestler)? RandySavageFTW (talk) 12:25, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- Strong Oppose - Copani's done a bit of film work since, so definite no-no. Also, he's been out of wrestling for three years, so the move would be mute pointless. D.M.N. (talk) 12:32, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Push and booking
[edit]The article says he was going to win the the world title at summerslam. This is speculation, it was never said by a reliable source that he would, and as he never did there is no reason why this should be in there. I'm thinkin about deleting it. 63.214.229.62 (talk) 06:36, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

Mark Magnus → Mark Copani – The rationale for having this page at "Mark Magnus" is unclear - "Mark Magnus" is a ring name briefly used by Copani in 2003 before he went on to greater prominence as "Muhammed Hassan". Copani is now involved in other pursuits outside of wrestling, so his birth name is the appropriate title. 18,700 Google hits for "Mark Copani", 16,200 hits for "Mark Magnus". - Support as nominator. McPhail (talk) 18:12, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
- Support Compare to Mick Foley. If we're not going to name the article after his most notable persona, which seems ill-advised in this case, his real name is indeed preferable. --BDD (talk) 19:31, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

Mark Copani → Muhammad Hassan (wrestler) – His time in WWE far overshadows anything he's ever done. Therefore, the average English-speaking fan will known his only as "Muhammad Hassan." GeicoHen (talk) 02:09, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
